Matthew J. Thompson joins Cole Engineering Services, Inc. as new Chief Operating Officer

Bryan Cole, CEO of Cole Engineering, announced on November 7, 2011, the appointment of Matt Thompson as his new COO. Matt Thompson joins the Leadership Team at Cole Engineering with valued credentials in the defense industry.

Prior to joining Cole Engineering, Mr. Thompson served as a Sr. Vice President and member of the executive leadership team at Camber Corporation. Mr. Thompson had organizational responsibility of all contracts, security and legal matters for the company. His support spanned strategic areas targeted by the corporation, including Department of Defense (DOD), intelligence, international and commercial business.

Mr. Thompson led Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) Orlando Operation for Modeling, Simulation and Training (MS&T). As Vice President of Operations for SAIC, he was instrumental in the identification and growth of key Live, Virtual and Constructive MS&T programs, most of which supported key training programs for US Soldiers. He helped build the MS&T Operation to its highest revenue point in company history, while consistently exceeding bookings and margin objectives.

Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Va. Tech, with postgraduate work at American University. He has extensive experience in business operations and organizational development and has supported the defense industry for over 20 years.
